Magazine catches up with former UVA football great Tiki Barber

Chris Graham

tiki barber coverMillennium Magazine spoke with Tiki Barber, the former New York Giant and UVA football star, now the principal at Thuzio, the book agency for sport talent that offers the perfect sports fan experience whether it’s personal appearances, motivational sport talks or playing a game with a famous sports figure.

Millennium Magazine Writer Inez Barberio had a one-on-one sit down with the 10-season National Football League baller for her first feature with the publication.

“It is not very often that you get to see the “real” side of a celebrity, professional athlete, etc.  He was funny, charismatic, and at one point I felt as if we were just chatting and not in a formal interview,” said Barberio. “While the interview was geared towards his business venture with Thuzio, we were able to also discuss other avenues of his life. Here is a former all-star athlete who faced some challenges personally, but found a way to build on his strengths and reinvent himself.”

Millennium Magazine Senior Photographer Alan Barry conducted the photo shoot.

“As we shot and re-set for the succeeding shots, I found him to be so personable and down to earth,” said Barry. “He was so willing to engage in conversation about his life, his business and his family. I thought that was especially appealing. It was a great experience to not only photograph him, but also to get to know him a bit on a more personal level.”

Millennium Magazine Interviewed Barber at his Midtown Manhattan offices in early November.
