MAGAs hyping ‘No Kings’: They must want us to go, because they can’t stop talking about it

Man, those MAGAs in DC really want folks to attend one of the more than 2,500 “No Kings” protests being held across the country on Saturday.

How you can tell: they can’t stop talking about them.

Last week, it was House Speaker Mike Johnson saying the “hate America” protests are organized by “the pro-Hamas wing” of the Democratic Party.

Monday night, it was Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin telling Sean Hannity that the protests are about “deranged hatred.”

Mullin, you might not know, has gotten filthy rich in Congress – back in 2012, when he was running for his first term in the House, he listed his assets of less than $2 million, primarily from the family business that he took over from his father; his net worth is now at a reported $65 million, not bad for a college dropout with a 3-0 record as an MMA fighter.

You accumulate that kind of wealth as a congressman and senator by making sure to stay on the right side of the boss.

No Kings’: Saturday, Oct. 18 local events

  • Staunton: Augusta County Courthouse, 12:30-2 p.m.
  • Charlottesville: The Shops at Stonefield, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Harrisonburg: Sign up for more details, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Shenandoah County: 443 W. Reservoir Road, Woodstock, 10 am. to noon
  • CulpeperSign up for more details, 10 a.m. to noon
  • Lynchburg: Miller Park, 2-4 p.m.
  • Roanoke: Corner of Orange and Burrell, noon to 1 p.m.

“I’m kinda curious what they’re gonna protest,” said Mullin, playing the role of fluffer. “So here, you have a president that literally, the world is praising because he’s the president of peace. He’s literally leading the world now. And yet they are still going to protest him? Because why? The economy is so bad? Because their streets are safer? Because he’s bringing the hostages home? I mean, what are you really protesting against, other than your deranged hatred towards President Trump?”

“Deranged hatred,” huh?

I mean, unemployment is up, inflation is up, stock market analysts are predicting a pending apocalypse, the streets are less safe because of the military, the Israeli-Hamas cease-fire is shaky, Ukraine is still getting bombed nightly, the former FBI director was indicted for telling the truth, the New York attorney general was indicted for one page of a mortgage document, the administration is rushing to fire and then rehire thousands of federal workers because nobody there knows what they’re doing.

I’m leaving a lot out.

Find a local rally near you.
