Lynchburg: Teen boy arrested for taking photos of girls in YMCA locker room

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after he allegedly took photos of girls in a locker room at a YMCA in Lynchburg.

The teen, whose name has not been released due to his age, is being held at the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Center.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers responded at 6:10 p.m. Monday to the Jamerson Family YMCA at 301 Wyndhurst Dr., for a report of a peeping Tom.

Officers quickly located and arrested the juvenile male suspect.

The teen has been charged with:

  • 18.2-386.1 – Unlawful creation of images – Two counts
  • 18.2-130 (B) – Peeping or spying into dwelling – Two counts
  • 18.2-382 – Photographs for purposes of an obscene nature – Two counts
