A juvenile in Lynchburg suffered a gruesome injury to their arm after a neighbor’s dog bit them, according to police.
The juvenile victim was transported to Carilion Children’s Hospital for treatment. The victim is listed in stable condition.
According to Lynchburg Police, the attack occurred on Monday in the 700 block of Grady Street.
The owner of the dog surrendered the animal to authorities. The dog was euthanized and will be tested for rabies, according to the LPD.
The incident remains under investigation.
