Perez (3-1) held the Keys (15-22, 49-56) scoreless through the first three innings. In the fourth, a leadoff walk would come around to score with the help of an error. The next batter Michael Mosby single home De San Miguel. A fly out, and a caught stealing ended the inning, and the run went unearned against Perez.

Nunez record his first Single-A hit in the eighth inning doubling down the third base line. He scored moments later when Matt Lipka smacked his third triple of the season into the right field corner. The Hillcats took a 6-1 lead.
