An 83-year-old Luray man died after a single-vehicle crash Sunday in Page County.

Ralph E. Janes suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Page Memorial Hospital where he later died.

A medical emergency is considered a factor in the crash.

According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred Dec. 1 at 12:05 p.m. at the intersection of West Main Street and Leakesville Road.

He was traveling north in a Honda on Leakesville Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign, continued through the intersection, ran off the road, struck a fence and collided with a tree.

The crash remains under investigation.
