In just two months, President Barack Obama has set the nation in a new direction when it comes to transitioning to a clean-energy economy and stopping global warming. Obama’s proposed budget lays out a framework for action on these issues, and to move ahead Congress must approve his budget.

It’s long past time to reduce our dependence on oil and to protect future generations and the world from the ravages of global warming. Reducing global warming pollution to the levels justified by the science and moving to a clean energy economy will protect our planet, put millions of Americans to work in new green jobs, and help rebuild our economy on a sound foundation.
