A crash involving a private ambulance and a vehicle in Leesburg on Friday night resulted in the death of a juvenile passenger in the car.
The accident was reported to Leesburg Police at 9:04 p.m. According to police, a 2017 Honda Accord being driven by a juvenile with two passengers, another juvenile and an adult, collided with the ambulance at the intersection of East Market Street and the Leesburg Bypass.
The three occupants of the Accord were transported to an area hospital, where the juvenile passenger died.
The driver and the adult passenger are both in stable condition at this report.
The ambulance was occupied by two employees of the ambulance company and one adult patient. All three adults were transported to an area hospital, where two remain hospitalized in stable condition.
