jeff jarrettJeff Jarrett has the backing of Toby Keith and a group of unnamed partners to start a new wrestling promotion, and Jarrett is telling people that the goal is to land a weekly TV show on Tuesdays.

This from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which reported that the Keith-Jarrett alliance that first looked at buying TNA, which Jarrett founded in 2002, had always included a larger group of investors.

Keith is worth a reported $500 million, according to Fortune. How much he is willing to invest in the effort is not known.
