Virginia basketball alum Justin Anderson logged 27 minutes for the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night as Mavs coach Rick Carlisle gave his starters a night off.
The rookie struggled with his shooting against Oklahoma City, going 2-for-9 from the field and 1-for-7 from three-point range, finishing with five points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Carlisle, also a UVA alum, was giving his starters the night off because Dallas was on the second night of a back-to-back.
The first game of the back-to-back was an overtime loss to Cleveland on Tuesday.
OKC defeated the Mavericks, 108-89.
Next up for Dallas is a road contest at Chicago Friday night.
