jmu logoJames Madison continued its rise in both national softball polls this week, as it moved to No. 18 in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I Top 25 Poll and No. 17 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll on Tuesday.

In addition, JMU also moved up another spot in this week’s NCAA rating percentage index (RPI) rankings, as it moved up four spots to No. 12 on Monday.

The Dukes went 4-0 last week with a pair of doubleheader sweeps over Virginia Tech (4-3, 10-3) and Colonial Athletic Association foe Drexel (9-0, 3-2). JMU concluded the regular season with a program, record 35-game win streak, which is the longest active streak in America. Madison is 44-6 on the year and completed its first undefeated CAA season, at 19-0.
