JMU-Monmouth weekend baseball series cancelled

Due to impending weather in the Harrisonburg area, the James Madison baseball team’s three-game series against Monmouth, scheduled for Feb. 20-22, has been cancelled.

With this most recent cancellation, JMU is now scheduled to open Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium next weekend, when it welcomes Quinnipiac for a four-game series on February 27-March 1. The possibility exists for additional games to be scheduled early in the week, weather permitting, but none are confirmed at this time.

The Dukes, who sit at 2-1 after wins over Buffalo and Gardner-Webb last weekend, were originally supposed to open their home campaign this past Tuesday against Longwood before that game was also postponed due to weather.
