James Madison football went 3-0 in October and although unranked could put itself in the Football Championship Subdivision playoff picture when the Dukes host No. 17 William and Mary in their homecoming game Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium. Both teams come into the 3:30 p.m. contest with identical 5-3 overall and 2-2 CAA records.
William and Mary won last year, 17-7, in Williamsburg, but JMU has a 20-16 advantage in the series, with all but one of those games for W&M coached by Jimmye Laycock. JMU has won eight of the last 10 and 12 of the last 15 meetings.
