Bridgewater College footballHurricane Florence has forced the postponement of all Bridgewater College athletic events this weekend, with football’s game vs. North Carolina Wesleyan rescheduled for next Friday.

The game will be played at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Friday, September 21 at 7 p.m., pending the storm’s impact on both areas.

The 2018 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed. A new date for the event will be announced when it is finalized.

Today’s three events, including home games for women’s soccer (vs. Southern Virginia) and volleyball (vs. Roanoke), along with men’s soccer at Eastern Mennonite, are all still planned as scheduled.

The rest of this weekend’s events are postponed: Friday’s home field hockey game vs. Juniata; women’s golf at SVU, men’s tennis at Randolph, a home volleyball tri-match with SVU/Mary Baldwin and men’s soccer’s home game vs. SVU on Saturday; and both of Sunday’s contests (women’s soccer at home vs. N.C. Wesleyan, field hockey at Frostburg State). New dates will be announced when decided.

No final decision has been made yet concerning Monday and Tuesday’s Tom Kinder Memorial- BC men’s golf’s annual home tournament.
