College Football 2025 Week 1 Picks & Best Bet

  • Syracuse +13.5 (-110)
  • Texas ML (-108)
  • Miami (FL) +3 (-105)
  • North Carolina -3.5 (-112)

Syracuse will take on Tennessee on the road on Saturday in the season opener. The Vols will be without All-American cornerback Jermod McCoy, a projected first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Orange have the hardest schedule in the ACC but Syracuse has the talent to put together a surprising season in 2025. Freshman Demetres Samuel Jr. will play both sides of the ball, ala Travis Hunter. He will be joined on the outside by Darrell Gill Jr., who had over 100 yards in two of his final three games in 2025. That should give Notre Dame transfer Steve Angeli enough playmakers to keep this game close. Bet on Syracuse to cover the 13.5-point spread on Saturday.

Best Bet: Syracuse +13.5 (-110)
