lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesA Devon Thomas two-run homer in the fifth broke a 2-2 tie, and the Toronto bullpen made it stand to preserve a 4-2 win over Baltimore on Wednesday.

Ubaldo Jimenez (1-1) had a 2-0 lead into the fourth before giving up a two-run Justin Smoak homer that tied the game. Jimenez went five innings, giving up four runs on six hits and three walks, with six strikeouts.

Aaron Sanchez (1-2) got the win, giving up two runs on two hits, but allowing seven walks that had him pitching in and out of trouble all night.

The Blue Jays turned three double plays behind Sanchez and three Toronto relievers to cut down some of the trouble.

Miguel Castro picked up his third save of the season with an inning and a third of scoreless relief.
