hillary clintonHillary for America will begin airing a new television ad on Saturday in eight states featuring a family who has benefited from Hillary Clinton’s work on behalf of children and families.

In the ad, entitled “Kayla,” the mother of a young girl who was diagnosed with two chronic illnesses at age nine tells the story of how her family utilized the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which Clinton helped create, to provide her daughter’s coverage.

“When Hillary Clinton was First Lady she was instrumental in passing the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and because she did, Kayla and millions of other kids have coverage,” Kayla’s mother, Amanda Strine, says in the ad. “That’s what Hillary Clinton did, and that tells you a lot about the kind of president she’ll be.”

The ad is part of the previously announced eight-figure, initial six-week television buy, which also included the ads “Always,”“Quiet Moments,” and “Who We Are.” It will run in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia.
