The Diabetes Prevention Program, PreventT2, is year-long lifestyle program that can help you lose weight, become more physically active and reduce stress. It’s a CDC-approved curriculum led by a trained lifestyle coach that has been proven to prevent or delay Type 2 Diabetes.
Sessions are weekly for the first six months, then once or twice a month.
Costs vary and may be covered by insurance.

For people with Type 2 Diabetes who want to learn how to manage their disease. Topics include medication management, monitoring blood sugar levels, reducing risk for complication, the disease process and problem-solving skills. Note: A physician’s referral is required to attend this course.

Learn about carbohydrate counting, nutrition label reading, meal planning and preparation and dining out when diabetic. Eat healthfully and still enjoy favorite foods. Note: A physician’s referral is required to attend this class.

For those impacted by Parkinson’s Disease and their family members, partners and friends. This month, speech-language pathologist Ashley Reibel from Augusta Health will explain LSVT-LOUD. The LOUD program offers improved vocal loudness, the ability to overcome mumbled speech and increased facial expression.
