Harrisonburg Tourism launches new marketing campaign

Harrisonburg Tourism and Visitor Services launched a new marketing campaign on Tuesday.

“The new marketing campaign it’s Better in the Burg is a fitting declaration to all that is new and revitalized in Harrisonburg” says Brenda Black, Tourism Operations Manager.

The advertising component includes a new logo & tagline, visitor guide & expanded distribution program; print, commercial and streaming online marketing; video and social media plug ins that include Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

The promotional elements include a LOVE bike shoot, mobile billboard, festival & trade show banners, and promotional products.

The Hardesty-Higgins House Visitor Center will offer a new concierge map and souvenir T-shirts, mugs, and postcards on sale in the Rocktown Gift Shoppe.

“This campaign has been in the works since December and we’re excited to share it with everyone” says, Emily DeBenedetto, Tourism Marketing Specialist. “Our goal is to encourage National and International visitors to choose Harrisonburg as their travel destination and to encourage those that haven’t been to Harrisonburg in a while to come back and see why it’s Better in the Burg.”
