The Greenbrier unveils second annual Discovery Series

greenbrierTo kick off the new year, The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia is launching its second annual Discovery Series, a collection of 10 themed weekends meant to elevate the senses, uncover hidden passions and cultivate the palate. Guests will have the option of immersing themselves in the worlds of fine cuisine, arts and culture, wellness or romance.

 

Culinary Weekends January 9-11, February 20-22, March 6-8, 2015

Foodies and culinary novices alike will get more than a taste of the award-winning food at The Greenbrier, with fun and indulgent activities including culinary demonstrations, Greenbrier label tastings, special regional and cultural meals, wine tastings, kitchen stadium competitions, and more.
Wellness Weekends January 23-25, February 27-March 1, March 27-29, 2015

Health-minded travelers will enjoy these weekends packed with opportunities to relax and rejuvenate. Available activities include group meditation, reflexology demonstrations, yoga, health-conscious mixology classes and wine tastings, fitness classes, hiking, 5k runs and more. Golf and tennis sessions and lessons will also be offered at discounted rates.

 

Arts & Culture Weekends January 30-February 1, February 6-8, March 13-15, 2015  

These weekends will celebrate The Greenbrier’s rich history through a series of arts- and culture-themed activities – from beaded jewelry workshops, glass-blowing demonstrations and tarot readings to a tour of the President’s Cottage, fire dancing classes, history tours of the property, regional wine tastings and more.

 

Valentine’s Day Weekend February 13-15, 2015  

In a place known for its Southern hospitality, fine dining and timeless elegance, couples can cozy up in their rooms at The Greenbrier this Valentine’s Day or indulge in true romance with a wide variety of couples’ activities – including dance classes, wine tastings, a chocolate and wine pairing, champagne toasts, and the Waltz in the Casino Club to set the mood.
