The City of Charlottesville and the Downtown Business Association of Charlottesville are presenting Grand Illumination 2014 at Central Place on the Downtown Mall on Friday, November 28th from 4:30pm-7:30pm!
This popular and festive community event is free to the public and will feature local musical artists performing original songs and favorite holiday classics as we count down to the grand illumination of the community tree!
The Charlottesville Newsplex’s Travis Koshko and Miss Virginia USA 2014 Arielle Rosmarino will host this year’s event that will feature the following performers:
- Terri Allard and the Music Resource Center
- Art Wheeler
- Virginia Consort Carolers
- Jeffersonland Barbershop Chorus
- Charlottesville Municipal Band
- Olivia Fletcher (Miss Virginia Teen USA 2014)
- The Men of Evergreen
There will also be kettle corn, funnel cakes, a performance by Mr. Magic, appearances by the contestants of the Miss Virginia USA pageant, and the jolly man himself just might drop by as well!
Skyline Tent Company will be setting up the stage on the Zocalo patio at Central Place on Wednesday, November 26. Some of our performers can be made available for interviews on Tuesday, November 25th and Wednesday, November 26th as well, please contact Joe Rice at [email protected] to arrange.
