Former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore will be in the Valley on Saturday to talk politics.
Gilmore, who briefly ran for the 2008 Republican Party presidential nomination, will speak at the SWAC GOP Breakfast at Mrs. Rowe’s Restaurant in Staunton.
The breakfast begins at 8 a.m.
Gilmore has said publicly that he is considering a run at the United States Senate seat that will be left open in 2008 by the retirement of John Warner and at the governor’s mansion again in 2009.

Gilmore served as governor from 1998 to 2002.
