George Mason, coming off a 20-win season under second-year coach Tony Skinn, will face two tough road tests in November and December, with games at Marquette and at Duke.

The program announced its nonconference schedule on Thursday.

The trip to Marquette, which was 27-10 in 2023-2024, comes up on Nov. 8, so there’s your first barometer for how Year 2 will go under Skinn, a Mason alum.

The trip to Cameron is scheduled for Dec. 17.

There’s one other possible marquee road game – at former CAA rival JMU, which won 32 games last season, but looks to be in rebuild mode after coach Mark Byington left for the job at Vanderbilt.

The trip to Harrisonburg is set for Nov. 29.

Quick rundown on Mason

Skinn brings back back two starters from last season’s 20-win squad, including second-leading scorer Darius Maddox (14.0 ppg). GM also brings back three additional letter-winners, including Woody Newton, Austin Ball and 2023 All-SoCon Third Team selection Jalen Haynes (ETSU).

The Green & Gold will bring in five transfers for the 2024-25 campaign, including forward Giovanni Emejuru (Siena), guard Jeremiah Quigley (Iona), guard K.D. Johnson (Auburn), guard Brayden O’Connor (UMass Lowell) and forward Zach Anderson (FGCU).
