liberty-flames21The Sun Belt Conference has announced game times and broadcasting information for its contests on Oct. 3. Liberty will face Georgia State on Oct. 3 with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m. The Flames’ final non-conference game of the regular season will be broadcast on ESPN3 and played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.

The game will be the first matchup for Liberty and Georgia State and the Flames’ second in as many years against a Sun Belt Conference school.

Last year, Liberty upended Appalachian State, 55-48, in overtime on Oct. 11. The victory was Liberty’s third over an FBS team in program history.

The 2015 season marks the third year in a row Liberty has faced two FBS opponents. Liberty squared off against Kent State and Old Dominion in 2013, while taking on North Carolina and Appalachian State in 2014.

Liberty’s first road game of the 2015 season was against West Virginia, where the Flames fell 41-17 to the Mountaineers in Liberty’s first-ever matchup against a Big 12 opponent.

Liberty’s game against Georgia State will be the second of four-straight road contests for the Flames. Liberty is one of seven FCS programs in the country who have four-consecutive road games on their 2015 schedule.

The Flames begin their four-game road swing on Saturday when Liberty travels to Carbondale, Ill., to face Southern Illinois. Kickoff from Saluki Stadium is set for 7 p.m. (EST). The Liberty Flames Sports Network will provide television coverage for the road contest.
