Franklin County: Ferrum woman dead in head-on crash on Jubal Early Highway

A Ferrum woman died from injuries in a head-on collision on Jubal Early Highway in Franklin County on Friday night.

Summer Elexis Rosenbaum Tibbits, 22 of Ferrum, was driving a 2025 Honda Civic in the southbound lane at 11:08 p.m. on Friday when her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a 2019 Dodge Ram head-on.

Tibbits died at the scene of the accident, according to a report from Virginia State Police.

There is no information available for the driver of the Dodge.

The crash remains under investigation.
