Virginia-based film production veterans Erica Arvold and Virginia Bertholet have joined forces to create Arvold Bertholet, a production services company based in Richmond and Charlottesville.
Arvold Bertholet’s combined feature film and television commercial experience provides the Mid-Atlantic region a comprehensive and seasoned approach to film and video production needs, with a direct link to top-of-the-line crew and support for feature and commercial projects.

Arvold has spent the last 24 years focusing as a feature film casting director. Recently she cast Killing Kennedy produced by Scott Free productions premiering November 10 on National Geographic Channel, Killing Lincoln, Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, and the upcoming AMC television series Turn, all filmed in the Commonwealth. Other casting credits include Runaway Bride, Charlotte’s Web, Rudy, and other projects for NBC, Paramount, and Disney.
Arvold was a producer on the indie feature Wish You Well based on David Baldacci’s New York Times bestseller and produced the Redbox favorite House Hunting with Charlottesville-based writer/director Eric Hurt. She was recently nominated for the Casting Society of America’s prestigious Artios Award for her work on Lincoln. She also received the 2012 Virginia First Lady’s Initiatives Team Effort Award for her contribution to economic development in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Arvold grew up in Blacksburg, is a graduate of DePaul University’s Theatre School (formerly Goodman School of Drama), and now resides in Charlottesville.
Bertholet has worked as a producer for over 25 years in mostly short formats, like commercials. She is an eight-year alumna of The Martin Agency where she produced for such clients as UPS, GEICO, and NASCAR. Other commercial clients have included Budweiser, Pacific Life, Burt’s Bees, Charter Cable and others. Most recently she was a marketing consultant for the Virginia Film Office where she brokered a state production tax credit plan for The Martin Agency to bring more commercial production to the state, which normally would go to New York and Los Angeles, and projected to create $17 million in economic impact for the Commonwealth. Bertholet’s commercials have won over 125 advertising awards, including a recent national PRSSA Silver Anvil. She grew up in Staunton, is a mass communications graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, and now resides in Richmond.
