Father of AFP editor passes away

billygraham.gifWilliam Mark “Billy” Graham, 54, of 30 Fishersville Station Road, Fishersville, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 2, 2008) at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1953 in Deerfield, the son of the late John and Mary Adkins Graham.
He was employed for 20 years at General Electric and Genicom in Waynesboro. He was also employed at Hollister Inc. in Stuarts Draft, and in recent years was the owner and operator of Graham Lawn Care Service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Lynn Graham; a sister, Violet Marie Snider; and one niece, Amy Michelle Graham.
He is survived by two sons, Stevie Fitzgerald of Sherando and Chris Graham and his wife, Crystal, of Waynesboro; a daughter, Stacy Marie Graham Sparks of Crimora; three brothers, John “Boogie” Graham, Elbert “Bunny” Graham Sr. and his wife, Bonnie, and Roger Graham, all of Deerfield; two sisters, Joyce Orman and her husband, Harold Jr., of Afton and Mary Stroop and her husband, Gary, of Waynesboro; four granddaughters, Kayla Sparks, Hannah Sparks, Rachel Sparks and Ashley Fitzgerald; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He is also survived by his wife, Sandra Wean Graham, her daughters Vicki Chittum and Ginny Haney, and her granddaughter, Jessie Chittum.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro; and at other times at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Crystal Graham, at 539 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro with interment following the service in the Deerfield Community Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Stroop, Kevin Graham, Tim Graham, Gary Stroop, Harold Orman Jr. and Rusty Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Tim Spears Christmas Fund, 216 W. Main St., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
