‘Dukes of Hazzard’ TV star, singer to celebrate show’s anniversary in Virginia this month

TV actor and singer-songwriter Tom Wopat, better known to his fans as Luke Duke, is currently on tour with stops planned in Virginia and five other states this year.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the famed “The Dukes of Hazzard” TV series.

Wopat will make a stop at Cooter’s Place in Luray for the 25th anniversary of the museum July 19-21.

Following the appearance in Virginia, he will travel to Iowa, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana and Wisconsin.

Since his days starring on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” Wopat has led a multi-faceted career with roles on Broadway, television and singing in iconic venues including The Ol’ Opera, Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. He had a featured role in Quentin Tarantino’s movie, “Django Unchained.”

He has also released his 13th solo album titled “Simple Man.”
