The driver of a vehicle reported stolen died in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 195 in Richmond Wednesday night.

Ebony Washington, 35, or Richmond, died at the scene, according to Virginia State Police.

The crash occurred at 8:50 p.m. on northbound I-195 at the 5.2 mile marker.

Washington was driving a 2010 Chevy Malibu, which had been reported stolen in Richmond, and was traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-95 when the vehicle hit a Subaru head on in the left lane. The collision caused the Subaru to overturn. A Toyota Camry and a Tesla were unable to stop and also struck the Malibu.

The other drivers, whose names were not released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
