There are three Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) Workshops for people with diabetes, caregivers and family members scheduled to begin soon and you are encouraged to promote these to your friends and family and also consider attending. During this free workshop participants will learn a variety of necessary day-to-day management skills needed to actively manage diabetes and maintain and/or increase life’s activities in order to lead active and fulfilling lives. This information will complement and enhance your medical professional’s recommended treatment plans.
Workshop dates and locations include; Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington on Thursdays April 3 – May 8 1:00 – 3:30, The Salvation Army in Waynesboro on Mondays April 7 – May 12 1:00 – 3:30 pm, and WaynesboroSenior Center on Wednesdays April 9 – May14 from 9:30 – 12:00.
