Rockingham County Schools is reporting that a bus transporting special education students was involved in an accident on Tuesday morning.

The bus, per a Facebook post from the school system, was carrying two students, a transportation aide, and the driver.

“We are incredibly thankful for the quick response of emergency personnel and grateful to share that no serious injuries were sustained,” the Facebook post reported.

“As a precaution, all passengers were transported to the hospital for evaluation. The students remained safely secured in their wheelchairs, and all passengers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.”
