Daughtry, Goo Goo Dolls headline Rockingham County Fair

googoo_daughtry_combo_hiresThe Rockingham County Fair is pleased to announce this summary of Pepsi Grandstand entertainment for 2014.  The Fair will be August 11 – 16, 2014 at the Fairgrounds on South Valley Pike, Harrisonburg.

 

2014 Pepsi Grandstand Events:

(Pre-Fair) Saturday, August 9: 4:00PM; Motocross Racing – Watch thrilling races with competitors of all ages in this special pre-Fair event. Motorcycles, ATV/Quads, etc.  Fair gate admission is free on Saturday. Grandstand tickets – Adults (7 & up) $10.00 each; Kids 6 and under $2.00 each. Babes in arms free. All tickets for this event are General Admission. Advance tickets available soon.

Monday, August 11: 8:00 PM; Monster Truck Thunder Racing Series; An AMAZING night with SIX monster trucks – PLUS Megasaurus Car-Eating Transformer and Jet Car! All tickets for this event are General Admission. Tickets are only $12.00 for ages 7 and up and $5.00 for kids 6 and under (babes in arms free). Babes in arms free.  Advance tickets available soon.

Tuesday, August 12: 6:30 PM: In Concert – ACM Song of the Year Winner and Country Music Artist Lee Brice with Jerrod Niemann and Cole Swindell; The Rockingham County Fair is going to ROCK Tuesday night, August 12 with country music artists Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, and Cole Swindell performing their latest hits. Concert begins at 6:30 PM. Ticket prices are $45, $40, $30, and $25. Advance tickets available soon.

Wednesday, August 13:  7:00 PM; In concert – Daughtry and the Goo Goo Dolls with special guest Plain White T’s. Multi-platinum recording artist Daughtry has scored four No. 1 hits, garnered four Grammy nominations, won four American Music Awards, sold over 7.5 million albums, 17 million singles worldwide and sold out concerts around the world. The Goo Goo Dolls have become one of the most globally respected and influential forces in popular music history, selling more than 10 million albums since 1986. Special guests Plain White T’s get the night started at 7 PM. Ticket prices are $65, $55, $45, and $40. Advance tickets available soon.

Thursday, August 14: 7:30 PM; In concert – Old Crow Medicine Show.  They put on such an incredible show at our County Fair in 2013, you insisted they come back again this year! Their appearances include the Grand Ole Opry, where they were inducted as members in 2013. Natives of Harrisonburg, OCMS’ song “Wagon Wheel” (co-authored with Bob Dylan) was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2011. Welcome back to the ‘Burg boys! Let’s do this . . . AGAIN! Ticket prices are $40, $35, $25, and $20. Advance tickets available soon.

Friday, August 15: 8 PM; Nationwide Demolition Derby – Fans come out in droves to see their favorite mechanic, neighbor, relative, or friend behind the wheel of those crazy cars in the ever-popular wreck’em rodeo. All tickets for this event are General Admission. Grandstand tickets – Adults $10.00 each; Kids 6 and under $2.00 each. Babes in arms free. Advance tickets available soon.

Saturday, August 16: 6 PM; Dragon Motor Sports Truck and Tractor Pull – Pro Stock, Super Pro Farm, National FWD, Hot Farm, Light Pro Stock, Mega Monster Trucks and more! All tickets for this event are General Admission. Grandstand tickets – Adults $10.00 each; Kids 6 and under $2.00 each. Babes in arms free. Advance tickets available soon.
