Cole Custer takes top spot in second round Xfinity qualifying from BMS.

Cole Custer put the Haas Automation Ford in the top spot during second round Xfinity Series practice at Bristol Motor Speedway, leading the field with a 15.528 time and a speed of 123.570 mph at the World’s Fastest-Half Mile.

Brandon Jones took the top spot in first round qualifying but fell to third in the second round of practice.  Daniel Hemric charged toward the front taking the second position.

Justin Allgaier fell to sixth while Ryan Preece completed second round practice in fourth, down from third in the first round.  Christopher Bell placed fifth, with Austin Cindric placing eighth,  Tyler Reddick who placed 10th in first round practice, improved one spot to ninth.

Elliott Sadler, 31st in first round practice, improved in second round practice to 11th.

Qualifying for the Xfinity series begins at 9:35 am with the running of the FItzgerald Glider Kits 300 race beginning at 1:00 pm.
