The forecasted frigid temperatures have knocked out the EMU baseball opener. The Royals were scheduled to host Penn State-Altoona on Saturday, but that doubleheader has been postponed.
Although the two schools are working on a rescheduled date, the potential for more winter weather early next week has kept the decision-making in limbo.
The next scheduled games are the schedule are a pair of twinbills next weekend. The Royals will host Juniata next Saturday followed by Mt. St. Vincent on Sunday.
EMU finished 16-18 last fall, going 10-10 in the conference to qualify for the ODAC Tournament for the first time since 2002.
