Charlottesville: Stolen vehicle recovered in armed carjacking case, two in custody

An 18-year-old and a juvenile are in police custody after they were found in a stolen car in Charlottesville.

According to the Charlottesville Police Department, Jeremiah Nayshaun Bowling, 18, of Chester, and the juvenile male from Charlottesville, who was not identified, were located after multiple people fled after the stolen vehicle was located.

The vehicle was reported stolen just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of 7 ½ Street SW and Pine Street. The carjacking involved a firearm.

The stolen vehicle was located in the 600 block of Cherry Avenue Thursday morning at 10:39 a.m. As part of the investigation, a replica firearm was recovered.
