Charlottesville Police looking for man wanted in armed domestic assault

The Charlottesville Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a victim and threatened to shoot them on Monday.

The incident took place on Short 18th Street in Charlottesville at 1:30 p.m.

Marco Antonio Berberena Perez, 34, is wanted for felony attempted malicious wounding, domestic assault and brandishing a firearm.

Perez fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.

He is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, weighing 160 pounds and is approximately 5’5″ in height. Perez is also missing his left arm. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a black sweatshirt and a black beanie cap.
