ABOUT UNITY DAYS
During its regular meeting on February 4, 2019, City Council unanimously approved the designation of a new community-driven event called Unity Days to be held annually on the second weekend of August (and on August 12 when it falls during the week). Unity Days is an opportunity for Charlottesville to educate, inspire, and honor people in our community and to create movement towards healing and unity as we strive to achieve economic and racial justice.
Unity Days 2019 will take place from May through August and is planned and organized by members of the Charlottesville community with logistical and financial support from the City of Charlottesville.
