Nine people completed Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) Leader Training held June 12, 13, 14 & 15.
These new leaders are well trained and are excited about providing workshops this fall. Training was facilitated by Maria Hostetter and Sharon Strang, who were both instrumental in bringing CDSMP to Harrisonburg in 2008, and continue to be involved with CDSME through providing Leader Training, leading workshops and serving on the Harrisonburg Rockingham Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) Steering Committee.
The next Leader Training is for the Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) and is scheduled for July 17, 18, 21, & 22 at the Augusta Health Community Center Building. Anyone interested in becoming a DSMP Leader should contact CDSME Coordinator Joyce Nussbaum at [email protected].
