Ophelia shared the following about her experience. “Interning with Valley Program for Aging Services and the Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Program has given me a lot of exposure. During this period I had the opportunity to perform a variety of activities ranging from marketing workshops, conducting in-home visits and assessments, giving a nutrition presentation, delivering home delivered meals, participating in steering committee meetings and a host of other activities. VPAS workers were always excited to share their knowledge with me and help me have a positive experience. They exceeded all my expectations and made sure I always had something relevant to do. I will do it again in a heartbeat if I have to. Thank you VPAS and CDSME for being an amazing host.”
