Caulkins accepts position as medical director of wound healing at Augusta Health

David W. Caulkins, M.D., a general surgeon who has been in private practice in the area since 1985, has joined the Augusta Health’s Wound Healing Clinic as its Medical Director.  In his new position, Dr. Caulkins will provide a unique service and comprehensive treatment regimen for non-healing chronic wounds.

The Wound Healing Clinic is located on the second floor of the Cancer Center on the Augusta Health campus.  The clinic phone number is 540.245.7230.

Dr. Caulkins graduated from medical school and completed his residency in Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia.  He is board-certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  Dr. Caulkins is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been an active member of the medical community, serving in numerous positions of leadership, for many years.
