Cartoonist John Rose visited with TBSC and PRSC

AFP

John Rose cartoonistJohn Rose, Daily News Record editorial cartoonist and artist of the Snuffy Smith cartoon, visited with Timberville Broadway Senior Center and Price Rotary Senior Center on Feb. 19.

Rose showed members some of his very first work that was published when he was in the fifth grade. He also showed a number of examples of his work as an editorial cartoonist. Quite a few laughs were heard as Rose was able to set the stage culturally for the cartoons that he showed us.

Rose also took some time to draw a caricature of President Obama and the Snuffy and Loweezy characters from his cartoon for us to have at the center.

This program was enjoyed by a large crowd at tbsc of 28 members and staff!
