Botetourt County: Motorcyclist dead in two-vehicle crash on Interstate 81

A Franklin County man died after his motorcycle clipped the back of a pickup truck on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County on Tuesday.

According to Virginia State Police, Andrew David Lee Camp, 36, of Callaway, died at the scene of the 6:07 p.m. accident.

VSP reported that Camp had been witnessed weaving in and out of traffic and driving between vehicles on his 1994 Harley Davidson ahead of the crash with a 2002 Honda pickup.

The accident occurred a half-mile south of the Brughes Mill Road exit on I-81.

The drive of the Honda was not injured.

No charges are pending.
