Bicycle race weekend in Shenandoah: July 25-26

bikeparade_aaronjohnston_NCPPage Valley Cycling has expanded its Shenandoah-based summer racing schedule. In addition to the fifth annual Shenandoah Time Trial on July 25, Shenandoah Speedway will be hosting a unique bicycle racing event on July 26,

Both events will serve as championship events for the Wounded Warriors and Para-Cycling category.

Notice of Roads Impacted for the Shenandoah Time Trial on July 25th:From approximately 8AM to about 2PM, access to 9th, Osceola, 10th, Massanutten, and Back Road will be limited, and cross traffic controlled.  County roads that will be impacted include Fleeburg Road from Comertown Road to Naked Creek; Naked Creek Road from Fleeburg to the turn-around point near Jollett Bible Mission Church at the end of the road; and Loop Road. These will be manned by local residents volunteering as road guards.  Note also that registration will be at Stevens Cottage and there will be some bicycle traffic as cyclists head from registration to the start line.

For the Shenandoah Speedway Criterium on July 26th, No Roads will be Impacted:  Shenandoah Speedway is located at 301 Precision Road just off of US 340 immediately north of Shenandoah, Virginia.
