A Buena Vista man was killed when his motorcycle struck a deer in Bedford County early Thursday morning.
According to Virginia State Police, Harald Dee Hiser Jr., 64, of Buena Vista, was traveling north on Route 501 near the intersection of Route 841 at 1:20 a.m. when his 1996 Harley Davidson struck a deer.
Hiser died at the scene.
