A two-run Chris Davis homer broke a seventh-inning tie and lifted Baltimore to a 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.
Davis’ blast, his 10th of the season, was one of four on the night by the Orioles (25-15). Joey Rickard led the game off with a solo homer, his fourth, and Manny Machado also homered in the first, his 12th of the season, and Mark Trumbo hit his American League-leading 13th home run in the third.
Matt Wieters and Jonathan Schoop each had three hits for the Orioles.
Mychal Givens (3-0, 2.08 ERA) got the win in relief after surrendering a game-tying RBI single to Gregorio Petit in the sixth after taking over for starter Mike Wright mid-inning.
