Baltimore tops Texas in series opener, 5-1

baltimore oriolesDylan Bundy threw seven one-hit innings for Baltimore in a 5-1 win over Texas on Tuesday.

Bundy (4-3, 3.05 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) struck out seven and walked one, needing only 88 pitches to get through seven innings.

Pedro Alvarez (.250/.308/.500, 15 HR, 35 RBI) had two homers for the O’s (60-45). Adam Jones (.269/.317/.462, 21 HR, 63 RBI) and Matt Wieters (.238/.297/.392, 10 HR, 40 RBI) also homered for Baltimore.

Darren O’Day (3 saves, 2.55 ERA, 1.18 WHIP) earned the save, striking out two in an inning and a third.
