Baltimore tops Blue Jays in Game 2, 8-1

lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesKevin Gausman struck out 10 in eight solid innings of work, and Chris Davis fueled a late power surge that lifted Baltimore to an 8-1 win over Toronto in the second game of a Wednesday night doubleheader at Camden Yards.

Gausman (4-7, 4.25 ERA) gave up a run on five hits, and didn’t walk a batter.

Ryan Tepera (0-2, 3.16 ERA) took the loss in defeat. Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey got a no-decision after pitching five scoreless innings, giving up two hits, striking out three and issuing no walks.

Davis hit two homers (44, 45), and Manny Machado (31) and Matt Wieters (8) also went deep for the O’s (77-81).
