The Baltimore Orioles are happy to be leaving the Pacific Northwest. Seattle blasted the O’s again on Sunday in a 9-4 win that completed a four-game series sweep.
The Mariners (43-39) outscored Baltimore (47-34) 31-15 in the sweep, and hit each of the four Orioles starters hard, including Ubaldo Jimenez (5-8, 6.95 ERA, 1.92 WHIP) on Sunday.
Jimenez gave up six runs on six hits in four and a third innings on Sunday, striking out three and walking three.
Mark Trumbo (.281/.329/.556, 24 HR, 62 RBI) hit a solo homer in the fourth, and finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI.
The West Coast road swing continues on Monday with the opener of a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
