Baltimore Orioles fans got the news today that two key players who have been on the IL, Colton Cowser and Jordan Westburg, are scheduled to join the Triple-A Norfolk Tides this week on a rehab assignment.

Cowser, 25, hit .242 with 24 homers and a .762 OPS with the O’s as a rookie last season.

Those numbers got Cowser a second-place finish in the AL Rookie of the Year voting in 2024.

Cowser saw action in four games with the O’s before heading to the IL with a broken left thumb.

The outfielder is in Norfolk after a three-game rehab stint at High-A Aberdeen, where he was 3-for-11 with a solo homer.

Westburg, 26, was an AL All-Star in 2024, hitting .262 with 18 homers and a .792 OPS.

The third baseman has been on the shelf since late April with a hamstring strain.

He was hitting .217 with four homers and a .657 OPS in 98 plate appearances in 23 games before the injury.
