Baltimore loses at Texas, 4-3

baltimore oriolesA Shin-Soo Choo two-run single in the fourth was the difference in a 4-3 Texas win over Baltimore on Monday.

Kevin Gausman (0-5, 4.37 ERA) gave up four runs on nine hits in five innings of work, striking out five and walking one.

The two teams’ bullpens combined to put up seven and two-thirds scoreless innings.

Rangers reliever Shawn Tolleson (2-2, 7.43 ERA) got the win after coming in for starter Derek Holland with one out in the fifth.

Holland (5-5, 5.20 ERA) gave up three runs on nine hits in four and a third innings, striking out four and walking two for Texas (46-25).

The O’s (40-29) had 15 hits, but left 12 runners on base, going just 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
